Communications Superhero Scholarship
The Cummings League is proud to announce the Communications Superhero Scholarship program. Breaking into the mass communications industry and succeeding is no easy task. If I did not receive the encouragement and support of my mentors, I never would have taken the risk. Today, I stand proudly as a PR Superwoman because others put in the time and effort to help me spread my wings and fly. And now, it’s my turn to do the same! Throughout my career as an educator, mentor, and communications professional, I have always worked hard to inspire young minds to exceed expectations and become their own superhero. The Cummings League scholarship program aims to help create seasoned journalists, dynamic public relations professionals, and communication superheroes.
Requirements

Interest in Mass Communications or Public Relations. A history of extracurricular activities related to communications during your high school year must be evident, such as participation in yearbook staff, audio visual studies such as photography or videography, marketing courses, school broadcasting, school newspaper, etc.

Must be a recent graduating senior from Baldwin High School or Wilkinson County High.
How to Apply

Fill out and submit the scholarship application. An application is available at the following link: APPLICATION.

Submit a 2 minute video describing your interest in entering the mass communications or public relations industry. If the file is too large to send electronically you have the option of uploading the video to a platform of your choice and sharing the link.

A 300 word Motivational Letter describing why you are deserving of the scholarship and what your plans are for entering the mass communications or public relations field.

All items must be submitted by the application deadline to be considered complete. The deadline for this year's scholarship is April 5, 2023.
