Superwoman
noun pl. superwomen
An extremely accomplished woman especially one able to do many things well and often; one equally successful in dealing with the struggles of life, and can still manage to keep a smile on her face.
I am a self-motivated progress-driven Superwoman! My red cape is always ready!

Creativity has always been a passion of mine and I am no stranger to hard work! As a Public Relations Coordinator, I make use of my full range of skill sets to produce an ongoing positive image for all my clients. I am a seasoned, award winning, community oriented public relations professional with a proven track record of success in the PR world.

I find it fascinating to take an idea and find creative possibilities to bring that idea into fruition. In my youth, I was an avid creative writer and musician. I wrote poems, short stories and full length plays as well as small musical selections for clarinet and woodwinds. My creativity has always been a big part of my identity and my work ethic.
I was given the nickname "Superwoman" during my college days by a friend who saw how I excelled in many areas and used each skill to the best of my ability. This nickname has followed me into my professional life. As owner of the Cummings League Marketing & Design PR Firm, I act as writer, photographer, videographer, graphic designer, social media manager and website developer.
I began my career as a high school English and Journalism teacher for the Wilkinson County School District in Georgia. After 9 years of teaching, I became a crime and education news reporter for the Union-Recorder newspaper. From there, I was hired as the first and only Public Information Officer for the Milledgeville Police Department and the City of Milledgeville. My last PR job was with the Baldwin County School District, where I worked as the School & Community Relations Coordinator. In each PR role, I have managed Public Relations and Communications by myself as the Superwoman I am known to be!

I stay active in my community, regardless of where I reside. Currently, I serve on the Executive Board as the secretary for the Georgia College African American Alumni Council (AAAC) affinity group and I am an adjunct professor of public relations at Fort Valley State University. I am also working on my doctorate degree in Strategic Communications from Liberty University.
