September is National Preparedness Month--a time when families and organizations are urged to take a closer look at their preparedness plans to be fully prepared when disaster strikes. This year's theme is A Lasting Legacy: “The life you’ve built is worth protecting. Prepare for disasters to create a lasting legacy for you and your family."
Does your business have a solid crisis communications plan? When an emergency occurs, the need to communicate is immediate. An important component of preparedness is the crisis communications plan. A business must be able to respond promptly, accurately and confidently during an emergency in the hours and days that follow. Many different audiences must be reached with specific information that addresses their needs. How well or how poorly a crisis is handled can affect the public and consumer perceptions of a business.
As a former police and city government public information officer, the owner of The Cummings League is highly skilled in crisis preparation and management. If you are in need of a crisis communications plan for your company give Superwoman a call. Her red cape is always ready!
